Dinas Perhubungan Kabupaten Ciamis menghimbau kepada masyarakat yang akan merayakan Tahun Baru di alun alun Ciamis sedapat mungkin untuk tidak menggunakan kendaraan bermotor, karena berdasarkan kesepakatan dengan pihak Kepolisian Republik Indonesia Resort Ciamis akan dilakukan Car Free Night (Seputar alun alun bebas dari kendaraan bermotor hanya diperuntukan bagi masyarakat yang berjalan kaki).

Sedangkan rekayasa lalu lintas di seputaran alun alun taman raflesia kabupaten ciamis pada perayaan malam tahun baru 2018 akan diberlakukan pada hari minggu tanggal 31 desember 2017 mulai pukul 18.00 WIB. arus lalu lintas yang biasa melewati alun alun taman raflesia ciamis akan dialihkan melalui jalur jalan yang sudah ditentukan. Adapun rute pengalihannya sebagai berikut :


Lalu lintas arah dari tasikmalaya menuju banjar di simpang tonjong dibelokan ke kanan melalui Taman Lokasana – Jl. K.H Ahmad dahlan – Gayam – Jl. Dr. Ciptomangunkusumo – Bundaran stadion – Jl. Letnan samuji (Ruko Terminal) – Simpang pasar – Jl. Iwa Kusuma somantri – Simpang Kodim, dst.

Lalu lintas dari arah tasikmalaya menuju cirebon di simpang tonjong dibelokan ke kiri melalui Jl. Siliwangi – Maleber – Jl. R. E Martadinata, dst.

Lalu lintas dari arah banjar menuju tasikmalaya di simpang kodim dibelokan ke kiri melalui Jl. Iwa Kusuma somantri – simpang pasar – Jl. Letnan samuji (Terminal) – Bundaran stadion – Jl. Dr. Ciptomangunkusumo – Gayam – Jl. K.H ahmad dahlan – Taman Lokasana – Jl. Ir. H. Juanda – simpang Saripohaci – Jl. Jend. Sudirman – Imbanagara, dst.
